good way to purge the season ticket waiting list at anfield that. there'd be outright revolution.

That'll never happen. Seems like Rodgers was a gonna almost regardless as FSG seemed to have timed this with the international break, giving them a couple of weeks before you play Spurs.

it also sounds like we've already made the new appointment and everything else is dotting is and crossing ts.

Yes, its been quite obvious for a while that change was needed. Its also quite possible that Rodgers' huge ego meant he didn't see it coming.

I might sound cynical here but i also feel Henry and Werner understand the need to keep the fans happy whilst they continue to milk the global merchandise revenues.

i think you make too much play of his ego carmine. he was told yesterday morning that he would be sacked after the everton match. got a 1-1 there, remains unbeaten in his merseyside derbies, then after the game knowing he was about to be publicly humiliated spent over half an hour with young fans at the ground, doing photos and talking to them. so he very much knew it was coming. he isn't a bad man, he's just inexperienced and sadly wasn't up to the job. but as a liverpool fan i thank him for season 13/14 which i think is about as fun a season as i can remember in my lifetime.

informed sources seem to reckon klopp is nailed on. i remain doubtful until it happens as i simply don't trust these owners.

Newcastle in for Poyet or Di Canio !??! Let the festivities begin !! Dim wanders in the wilderness saluting imaginary Adebayors.

Sam never gets relegated...he's the specialist in bottom end endeavour!

You'd have to think the thin ice under Sherwood is about to shatter after Swansea comes back to nab three points away.

Swansea's chairman is collecting his MBE in London and will sack Monk afterwards, according to the BBC. Brendan will be the replacement. Seems to be a trend: Clough Jr is back at Burton.
