Send money to the US

Featured Replies

Anyone know what is the best trading option.

If I have a big amount of money and need to send them to a bank account in the states from a Thai bank

What is the best option.

Exchange the money to Dollar in Thailand and send them over to US.

Or keep them in Baht and send them over to the US Bank.

What is usually the best option and rate?

Any advice?

Thanks :)

I haven't transferred money out of Thailand, only into Thailand.

However, the same arguments apply.

You will always get the best exchange rate and little or no fees if you use a currency trader.

(Try Thailand Forex, online)

You will buy your dollars here in Thailand and when you settle they will wire to your US account.

You can send Baht to a US bank from your Thai bank but they will give you a poor exchange rate and also charge you.

Using a currency trader will generally save you about 2% on the deal.
