Sony Vaio laptop still no Windows 10 Nov 21

Thats right. I still don't have my upgrade. I punched in my laptop ID number and it said concrats your model is covered on the Sony site. I updated the drivers. But then I still just get the "Ok notify me when its ready" prompt. And my wife has some junk Asus that updated fine. Plus my old Win 7 desktop updated fine. But my main computer is still stuck in the black hole of win 8

And I haaaaate Windows 8. It is the worst computer product ever.

Don't fret WIN 10 is not what is cracked out to be, I took it off my older Vaio machine, didn't recognized

WI-FI connection and was working to slow... probably reformatting using Sony Vaio recovery disks

will solve the issue...

Sounds like you may just need to force your Win 10 download/install by using Microsoft Media Creation Tool which can also be used to reload Win 10, create installation disks, etc.

By chance, did it install Win 10 ver 10240 which was the original release from the 29 Jul public release or did it install Win 10 -1511 Build 10586 which is the latest upgrade also referred to as the November Upgrade, Threshold, or Service Pack?

To find out what version installed, go to your Command window by right clicking on the Windows start icon, select Run, enter Cmd and press enter which will take you to the command windows. At the top of the command window it will display your version number such as 10.0.10240, 10.0.10586, etc. If it has 10240 in the number then it the original Win 10...if it has 10586 in the number you got the upgraded version.

Apparently Microsoft pulled the November upgrade from the Media Creation Tool on 22 Nov. Now the upgrade will only arrive the regular, intended way via Windows updates.

If the 10240 version installed then you may have a 30 day wait in the Microsoft queue before the 10586 upgrade arrives via regular Windows update.
