Districts In Bangkok

Featured Replies

I am looking for the name of the districts in BKK like Prakanong, Bangkapi etc. Does anyone know, where I can find it (in English language :o )

Especially I am looking for a district calles "Somlong" or "Songlon" or something like that. Any idea where that is?

A good map will have what you are looking for.

Oh well. I am not in BKK and I don't have a map here. Otherwise I wouldn't open a topic like that, wouldn't I?

Try bkkmaps.com

There's nothing quite like that in the dropdown district menu. Could it be 'Samrong'? In which case, you need Samutprakan not Bangkok - it's beyond Bangna.

""Somlong" or "Songlon" or something like that" = Sanam Luang ??

No, it is certainly "Samrong". The pronounciation of "l" and "r" drives me crazy sometimes...

samrong? did you find it, it´s on on sukhumvit...

Even though you say you are not in Bangkok, and I presume not in Thailand, I would have thought that, by accessing and posting on this particular website, you would have the capability of finding a suitable map of Bangkok on the Internet............wouldn't you? :o

come on then artisan , instead of slagging off raja for posting , what seems to me ,a reasonable query , lets see if you can come up with a map of greater bangkok on the net , in english , showing the names of all the keets , areas , amphurs and ging amphurs.

Hi Taxexile....that's a fair challenge and I'll see what I can do. I'll keep you posted.

By the way, I was not "slagging off" Rajah for her original, and yes, reasonable query. My reply was directed to him/her simply because of the smart arse reply that he/she felt inclined to make in post #3. If I caused offence then I'm sorry, but there remains some truth in what I said. No offence Rajah. :D

Is the interpersonal vitriol really so important?

Thanks Thai-Spy, you beat me to it......great link.

....and here's another one Bangkok District Maps

....and another one Districts and Zones of Bangkok

....and yet another one Emporis Bangkok

...all showing the 50 districts of Bangkok, the khets (sometimes called amphoe as in the other provinces), and then divided further into the 154 kwaeng (roughly equivalent to tambon in the other provinces).

Thank you.

thanks artisan and thai spy for those links , should be helpful to alot of us , not only raja.
