It's been building up for about a week, not had ear ache but feels like it is my right ear related, feels like pressure down my right side of face, anti biotics needed? If so what should I ask for? Sorry for the poor explanation.

Most probably Antibiotics will fix it......But if not you are delaying the right treatment and risk a lot. infections that are on the head shouldn't be taken lightly.

Problem is you can't look into your ear...

Doc for the ear should be cheap. And I would expect that he can explain what you have, explain every tablet and let you keep away the unnecessary one (like painkiller if there is not much pain).

Expensive it is if you go into some of the private hospitals....but in this case a small clinic may do the trick.

Cheers mate, just visited my local Pharmacy( very nice English speaking girl) I explained to her what was wrong, she then explained to me what was happening and what I needed(she was spot on) superb service, as I posted previously I have had this same thing before but forgot what tablets were prescribed.

I just put some alcohol in it ( that Thai blue stuff) , and let it soak for 15 minutes. Should kill all the nasties.

Alcohol in the ear? Ouch! Lots of pharmacies carry antibiotic ear drops that won't hurt your ear

id say its an insect. probably crawled in your ear while you were sleeping.

now its eating your eardrum in preparation to feed its babies when they hatch.

Last time in Koh Samui (13 or so years ago) I got an ear infection: Doc didn't look at me, gave me some Antibiotics when I looked puzzled he told me, it is always the same bacteria from the shower water...every day a few customer. And showed me the bacteria and treatment in his medical lexicon. If this is common in an area it is always the same treatment unless you are the odd case that got something different.

Pharmacy you study at University....These people know a lot...unless they are not the pharmacist but the sales girl...

I'd suggest a 2nd opinion, as Neurox-500 (Piracetam) doesn't seem to be indicated for use in ear infections...

Used to Treat Mental retardation, Learning problems in children, behavioural problem and confusion state in elderly patients, cerebro-vascular accidents, cerebral insufficiencies
