Hello, I am currently in Bangkok and will be traveling around Thailand. I wear hearing aids and will need to restock on batteries soon. Today I went to a place called Eartone and was shocked that they were charging 300 Baht for one six pack of 312 batteries (although they did have a special, buy 4 get 1 free). This is double the price of what I would pay in the U.S. for batteries. So I was wondering, is this what the going rate is here and I'm just going to have to suck it up and pay this, or is there somewhere cheaper to get them?

Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Generally, batteries are not cheap in Thailand. Sure, at 20 baht stores you can pick up some pretty cheap batteries...and that's because they are indeed cheap and won't last long.

I buy a box of 60 Size 13 hearing aid batteries from Amazon for about $15. The box lasts me a year or so. I priced the same box here at $81 recently. Even with the shipping Amazon is a better deal.
