Traditional Thai Costume & Photos Package

Hello agaian sorry back so soon.

Here in Japan I have often worn Yukatas for festivals and special events and had a session at a specialist studio wear they kit you out in a full Kimmono set up - wigs make up everything and you get three photos at the end - yes its very tourist and a bit dumb but it was such great fun and the photos were really appreciated by my parents whom I really did it for (but I was suprised at what a great day I had). Is there somewhere in Bangkok that do something similar ???

Thank you Thank you Thank you :D:o:D

Plenty of places. If you read Japanese just grab one of these Japanese free papers they distribute for free at Japanese establishments throughout Bagnkok like Kinokuniya book store in Isetan. You're certain to find an ad of a studio that'll do photo session of you wearing traditional Thai costume.

Here's one.

Studio Kansai.

Amarin Plaza, 2F.

Tel: 0-2255-6350

BTS Chidlom station (south Ploenchit Rd., 1 minute walk from the station, city center location).

450 Baht and up.

Is there somewhere in Bangkok that do something similar ???

You mean to dress up in Thai traditional costume and have pics taken?

Many photo shops will do that...it's almost an industry to dress foreigners and their girlfriends into Thai costumes and charge 5-7000B for pictures. Some said 3000B would do (but marriages after cheap pictures don't last long, shopkeepers would say).

Saw it also at MBK.

Wherever you go, just tell them not to put tooooooooooo much powder. These photographers seem too overly generous in bathing their subjects in powder. Though not actually experienced it, have witnessed it many times. Just my 0.02 satang. :o
