David Bowie has died

Featured Replies

Bummer. His new album is getting great reviews BTW. I think he knew he was going, so wanted to get this last album out and by George, he did.

Tragic.

It never actually occurred to me that David Bowie would one day die.

RIP

Considering his intake back in the day, I'm amazed he lived this long.

My condolences to his family,

You should get used to it especially in these days of social media.

You could indeed turn off your internet and TV and read a book instead because it's all you will see today.

Only song I really recall is China Girl and something about a spaceship and Major Tom of something like that...both pretty cool songs. Never felt compelled to buy an album, however. He seemed older than 69 to me.

I would be happy to have just half his hair at 69

Tears coming from my eyes, RIP Starman

Wow...people are getting really choked-up about this. DELETED

Someone has Died, Leaving Loved Ones Behind. Show some Compassion

A Hero now left us for Mars. RIP

I had many memories of listening to his music in my good times and bad times, they always uplifted me. Thanks David

first lemmy now bowie next iggy ?

"we can be heroes just for 1 day"....

Had every album (LP) up to and including Diamond Dogs, wonderous music.

there's plenty of amazing stuff after DD as well. young americans, station to station, the berlin trilogy, scary monsters are all brilliant - his new one, blackstar, is really good as well.

Great bloke, looked better as he aged.

Farewell Ziggy you changed a lot of things.

Sad to see the moderators having to edit disrespectful posts.

I suppose it shows the sad poster's mentalities.

I was just listening to Modern Love yesterday, great song from the eighties. One of the few of his generation who kept innovating rather than get bogged down in one era.

Just the other day I was muttering to myself with envy how youthful he looks

while watching his new album promo.. go figure, great lose artistic loss in deed....

HEROES...... this song will be in my ears and mind forever.

"heroes just for one day" said the lyrics.

He though was a real HERO all his life. One of the worlds most unique artist and character has left..... R.I.P and thank you for all you have given to us sad.png

One Nonsense Post removed. I posted a guideline not long ago. Please keep the nasty stuff off this topic.

One more big music icon is gone ... Who put large footprints in music.

A real hero of mine. RIP

The Man may be gone, but his music will live on.

Huge musical talent and influence to so many artists that followed.

Totally. He'll influence plenty yet to come too, I'm sure.

"all the young dudes" too, from one cool dude. Just listening to the whispering Bob Harris on BBC radio who knew him for a long time give a fine tribute.

Moonage Daydream- brilliant.
