So the missus decides she wants to do a bit of watch shopping at the border and I thought instead of making it a day trip ....spend a night at a resort on the way back to Chiangmai

Anyone has done the same and has a good resort to recommend ?

We have placed relatives at the Suanthip Vana Resort, right on Highway 118 about 15 km North of Wiang Pa Pao Received strong recommendations.

Coord: N19 27.660 E99 29.379

Poonyamantra Resort is a relatively cheap option that's half-decent.

What about the pie place?

Can't think of the name but it's a nice spot on the river.

4 or 5 kms north of Mae Suai on 118.
