Best route: Asok to Jomtien.

Featured Replies

Going 2-up from Asok to Jomtien on Sunday morning.

What's the best route nowadays?

Route 34?

Cheers.

I'd go as per your map - straight down Sukhumvit then left onto Bangna and down to Chonburi under the elevated tollway, then off to Pattaya.

You can take the scenic route along old sukhumvit road, most of it is brand new asphalt now.

Went down along under the tollway all the way.

Not sure if allowed, but no police out to stop us. biggrin.png

And despite their best efforts, none of the trucks killed us.

How long did it take? What bike did you ride? Did you start early in the morning?

Asoke all the way to bang na trat ( pass udom suk bts) than take left...under the highway...

If u stay asoke near petchabury...ride it all the way to on nut than turn right to sukhumvit (sou 71??)...than go udom suk...never had problem with police

If you ride from Asoke to central Pattaya, outside of rush hour, it should take about 2 hours.

But after finished riding under the Chonburi expressway, do you continue on the Sukhumvit all the way to Pattaya?

You can do but the quickest route is to get on the Chonburi bypass and join highway 7(bikes can use it from here) and stay on it all the way into Pattaya.

papa uses that route.

however, you will be passing signs indicating no M/C allowed & fines + 30 jail possible, 55.

Not anymore.

Looks like they want to divert all the bikes towards Sukhumvit, the scenic route if you want.
