My phone (POCO/android) doesn't do that, auto identify 😭

Taking photos of birds, actually got me more interested in photography, if possible, but meant buying bigger lenses for mirrorless camera.   Now phones are quite good, if you can see and focus on it, as only advantage of the super zoom lens I have.  Phone have taken over my simple 'knock around town' photography.

Good hobby for her 👍

I've seen some of your super sharp photos here. If she really gets into the hobby I think she will need a camera.

The iphone camera is good, but when on maximum zoom it's hard to get a sharp photo. Great for keeping a log though.

Really .. you're about the top of their range.   Have locally, but not near the house, and ~5 kms away, though only saw them at that location during covid, since no tourist to disturb them, and quite skittish.

Troop or 3 over at RTAF Wing 5 / PKK, not so skittish and will allow being had fed.  Signed not to feed of course 🙄

Lots of birds in my garden here on Samui. Dawn chorus wakes me up most days.

Unfortunately, I am rubbish at identifying them, but some are the usual ones -

Wagtails, mynahs, doves, pigeons, Indian roller, sunbirds, and ones that I call 'bandit birds' - light brown/grey with a black 'mask' as in The Lone Ranger.

But my biggest pest at the mo (and I do love them) are these guys - Ate my pineapple and now eating the pomegranates. Had nine, five left. This guy was just over one meter from the bedroom window.

The only ones I want to see are The Foden Pheasant, the Haaland Hawk, the Bobbtit, Ederson Eagle, Stones Starling, Walker Wader, Lewis Lapwing, de Bruyne Bat, Doku Dove, Grealish and Gundogan Gannets, Kovacic Kites, and the Pep peacock.
