CityNews – The body of a man was recovered by rescue teams in Mae Yuak lake, Chang Puak area, after he disappeared while swimming with friends.

A group of friends, all workers on a construction site, were drinking whiskey around midday before getting in the lake to cool down. Soon after, 35-year-old Udom Nainom disappeared.

He probably did not know how to swim. Swimmers rarely ever drown in calm water even if drunk or stoned, swimming is easier than walking.

A drunk man is found dead in a lake sounds similar to a drunk British brickie found dead in a swimming pool not so long ago, I'm sure some will remember. Very strange that in the similar absence of any evidence of violence no one is screaming blue murder for page after page this time.

Maybe if his family start a "Justice for Udom" Facebook page all the very quiet usual suspects will chime in?

Why were builders drinking whisky at midday? Presumably had he survived he would have returned to continue building your house or Thailand's first nuclear power station.
