Well I thought I could handle it for 3 days, but the incessant Boom of bass ripping through my house is more than I can take.

In Nakhon Ratchasima, and thinking of jumping in a car and driving off to some quiet location and book about 3 days till the madness subsides.

Nothing against the Thais, I hope they enjoy their holiday celebrations, but the noise and madness is starting to gnaw away at me. So thinking maybe just bolt for a quiet retreat, and I am actually due a bit of a rest from the ratrace.

Any suggestions?

Songkran is pretty much a 24 hour thing in Hua Hin. From what I heard it started Tuesday night and finished last night.

I can't say for sure what's going on down town but around here it's quiet and I'm just a couple of miles out of town.

4 Star hotels in Bangkok with pool for less than 2k a night.

Very little traffic in Bangkok.

Seriously you will have a quiet place compared to the "village madness".

Fortunately it was only the night from 12 to 13 in our village.

Walls and windows shaken until 1 AM.

We just go and find the music and join in two things

1. Always sounds better when there

2. When you finish dancing and drinking and go to bed you won't hear the bass.

Trying to think why I came back to this heat and water madness & boom boxes and crooked cops and inattentive service staff and .....
