White CB500F

Featured Replies

getting this bike soon and having checked the website, there's Black, Orange, and Lime green available. I see White is available in Europe but not shown on the Bigwing website.

Since the bike is manufactured here, is it possible to order a White one and price stays the same?

And why isn't it shown on the website anyway?

My first bike was a Honda CB 500 Four. The sound alone was unbelievable. I found ways to "tune it a little bit" that I could "follow" my friend who had the CB 750 FOUR.

I even drove it through the winter in Germany, had to fall on my ass when the streets were covered with snow, underneath ice.

I bought it for almost nothing, because it ran on two cylinders only. The guy who had it before took the tank off, the side covers and some other parts.

I think some guys worked very hard to get it running, but they didn't think logically. thumbsup.gifthumbsup.gifthumbsup.gifthumbsup.gifthumbsup.gifthumbsup.gif

I needed only 10 minutes to find the problem. The filter inside the tank was so dirty that the outlet at the tank only "satisfied" two cylinders.

A clean up and I'll never forget the sound when the other two started as well. The photograph doesn't have the original pipes, (looks like some cheap copies to me, even whit the right shape at the end), but mine had the same colors.

When the ex owner saw me driving around on the same day with a good sound, i think he's very close to commit suicide.wai2.gif

mate forget the website if your getting it soon..... go to the dealer and if they dont have your colour go to another shop. Shop at the shop?

I don't think you can get a white one when its not shown on Bigwing website.

You can try ask in a Bigwing shop if possible, but I bet it will cost you extra if possible.

Another option is to have it painted after purchase but remember to change the color in the green book as well.

I am no fan of white color on bikes myself I must admit [emoji41]

Beautiful motorbike. I love this generation, they look awesome (there's the word!) In these years I could only afford a CB125 Twin :-(

I have seen a white one locally, often parked outside a paper shop. It is at least two years old so they used to do white back then.

Same with Cbr 650F.

Seems odd to me that in the country its made in they dont offer all colours including the nice tri colour with full fairing.

I now see they have a choice of "dull black" or "dull black with dull red" only. Im not "ghostrider" and dont want to emulate him.....glad i got a Red one while they still made them

Honda in the past year has made some bad decisions regarding color choices amongst other things. They used to have a nice red CB500F which was quite popular. Now there's orange and neon green/yellow? Meh. No wonder I don't see them selling any anymore.

Pretty amazing that a big company like Honda doesn't know what A/B testing is and just replaces color options with different ones without leaving any choice for the customer.

If they'd continued offering the old colors for one year alongside the new ones, they'd see which ones are more popular.

Similar nonsense with the Africa Twin which they advertise everywhere as red or tricolor with DCT but in Thailand you can only get black or grey...

Maybe a competitor got a saboteur inside Honda Bigwing as the manager who makes color choices smile.png

Do agree. Years ago before the "big bike" revolution used to see some fantastic colour schemes, not sure if they were standard or not. As of late seem to have gone a bit outlandish for my taste. Lime green and black? Quick glance interesting, every day? No. Bought my black 300 nigh on two years ago, glad I got it while it was available.

Colors on bikes/scooter seems to change every year on many models and then launched as the "new" model, odd when in most cases everything is same same but the color.

for 2016 though, the honda 500 series have been completely changed in styling and some other upgrades. Problem is, the red color and white color is offered in Europe but not available in Thailand, even though the bikes are only manufactured in Thailand.

Looks like the Africa Twin won't be in red, white blue in Thailand.

Either paint it, or order the tank and all the fairings separately.

You will probably be able to sell the ones you take at some point in the future as people crash them. :D
