^Why doesn't he employ his Sisters Husband if he is so concerned,Pikey Prick...15 watches enough said! :D

enough said?

Not quite. Think you need to say a bit more, cos ain't a clue what you is saying. :D

Ok for the dim whit here....i will clarify....he bemoans the fact his brother in law is getting undercut and cannot put the bread on the table for his sister.Yet employs a Pole before!!!

He is interested in the building business yeah,so why doesn't he involve his brother in law in it! family

He has 15 watches yeah, worth how much?? how many watches can you wear at any one time?

A complete hypocrite, hope that is crystal enough for you mate :)

I have to take issue with you here Nad. Frank's a nice enough bloke and i don't see him as a hypocrite. He's far too dim to even think that far. He just would'nt understand the whole issue.

A couple of my mates met him about five years ago and they were saying that he's a friendly enough bloke but so thick as to be almost braindead. Possibly explains why he hangs around with the likes of captain carthorse.

As for thinking,he pays someone to do that for him, nice bloke maybe? i would be a really nice bloke if i had his lifestyle and money for kicking a ball around.(maybe i could buy a new watch :) ) that could tell me what time to be happy?

It would have been crystal clear in the first place if you hadn't put the comment directly beneath Seapok's article on Essien and used one of these "^".

"^" denotes refering to the first post directly above

"^^" denotes refering to the second post above

"^^^" denotes refering to the third post above

Getting the idea?

No problem. I had actually read that story about Frankie boy but about a week ago when it was originally posted - kind of went in one ear and out the other - hence it didn't spring to mind when you mentioned it today, somewhat out of the blue - combined with the "^" that threw me off - doesn't take much, being dim-whited and all... :D

Cole and Ballack exit Blues

Joe Cole and Michael Ballack will leave Chelsea when their current contracts expire at the end of the month.

The midfield duo had been tipped to depart Stamford Bridge over the summer and the Blues have now confirmed that they will be heading for pastures new.

England international Cole has been linked with host of rival Premier League clubs, who will now be able to secure his services on a Bosman free transfer.

Manchester United and Tottenham are the favourites for his signature, with Spurs boss Harry Redknapp having confirmed his interest, while Arsenal and Liverpool could also come into the equation.

The creative 28-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge from West Ham in a £6.6million deal in the summer of 2003 and went on to make 282 appearances for the club, bagging 40 goals.

Cole suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament in January 2009 but battled his way back to full fitness to play his part in the Blues' Premier League and FA Cup success this season, scoring a deft goal in the vital victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford in April.

His late season form was enough to secure a place in England manager Fabio Capello's23-man squad for the World Cup, where he has the chance to showcase his talents to potential suitors this summer.

A statement on the club's official website read: "We would like to thank him for his dedicated years of service and wish him well in his future career."

Germany international skipper Ballack will not feature at the global showpiece having suffered an ankle injury during the FA Cup final victory over Portsmouth.

The veteran midfielder arrived on a free transfer from Bayern Munich in 2006 and went on to score 25 goals in his 168 outings for the West London club.

Chelsea added: "All at the club would like to place on record our thanks for his service and wish him luck for the future."

With the duo deemed surplus to requirements by coach Carlo Ancelotti, it appears likely the Blues will dip into the transfer market to bolster their squad as they look to defend their domestic double and challenge for UEFA Champions League glory.

says a lot then about why he didnt opt to move to the other part of n. london then doesnt it.:D

probably got something to do with the class and style of play that hes got used to.

anyway its not like your lot need any new players now, is it! what with being such a big club and getting through to the qualifying stages of the champions league.

emphasis on the words "qualifying stages" :)

As i've told you before Tigerfish, keep the noise down, you'll wake up the gooner thread.

PS Has Cesc gone yet? Personally i think it would be hilarious if you keep him for another year, what with the whole country knowing you have a captain that does'nt want to play for you. :D

Court orders Adrian Mutu to pay Chelsea

June 14, 2010

Adrian Mutu has been ordered to pay former club Chelsea over 17million euros after losing his final appeal in a legal battle which has lasted over five years, the Swiss Federal Court announced.

Adrian Mutu joined Fiorentina in 2006

The court confirmed on Tuesday that they have upheld the decision made by FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Mutu was sacked by the Premier League club in September 2004 after testing positive for cocaine. The Romania international received a seven-month ban from football, but Chelsea took a firm stance on the forward and sacked him before then suing him to recover the money they paid to sign him.

Mutu rebuilt his career first at Juventus and then at Fiorentina once he was able to play again, but the incident has dogged him ever since as FIFA ordered him to pay 17 million euros to Chelsea, and his appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport against the fine failed.

He was given a glimmer of hope when the Swiss Federal Court temporarily suspended the fine, but they have now decided the 31-year-old must pay the full amount plus interest.

In a statement they said: "In a ruling on June 10, 2010, the Swiss Federal Court rejected the appeal formed by Adrian Mutu against the decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

"The CAS ordered the Romanian professional footballer to pay a sum superior to 17 million euros to his former employer, Chelsea Football Club Limited (Chelsea).''

The court was keen to highlight that they were unable to make a ruling on the actual decision but rather just the sum involved - 17,173,990 euros plus interest.

The statement continued: "(The court) first rejected the arguments by which the footballer questioned the impartiality of two of the three arbitrators who rendered the decision.

"On those merits, the federal court recalled that, in the field of international arbitration, it does not retry the case, as a court of appeal would, but can check only certain aspects very limited to the basis of recorded facts in the imposed sentence.

"In this case, the federal court had only to consider whether the amount of damages/interest allocated to the London club violated the core values that all judicial systems should follow.

"They came to the conclusion that this was not the case, so that the Romanian footballer's appeal was unfounded.''

It is unclear whether Mutu - who has also been ordered to pay court costs - will be able to pay the full amount after reports in Romania last year suggested the striker was bankrupt.

Chelsea paid Parma 22.5 million euros (around £15.8 million) for Mutu in August 2003 and received no money for the striker when he returned to rebuild his career in Italy after serving his ban. Juventus sold Mutu to Fiorentina for eight million euros in July 2006.

The Viola star is currently serving a nine-month ban after testing positive for sibutramine in January and will be allowed to return to football on October 29. Chelsea have declined to comment.

Blues refused to bow to Cole

Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Joe Cole's departure from Chelsea was down to economic differences.

The England international saw his contract at Stamford Bridge come to an end this summer and he has subsequently left the club as a free agent.

Cole's future was a subject of much discussion as the 2009/10 campaign drew to a close, with the majority of Blues supporters keen for him to pen a new deal.

However, an agreement could not be reached and the 28-year-old opted to move on after seven years in West London.

Ancelotti admits he is disappointed to have parted with a player of Cole's calibre, but claims the situation had nothing to do with him and more to do with the fact that the player was demanding too much money.

"No, because the problem was economic," said the Italian. "It was a problem between the club and Joe Cole, not me.

"We spoke about this but when the problem is with money, it is not my problem.

"It is difficult to keep a player all the time in one squad. "I think Joe Cole, like Michael Ballack and Julian Belletti, did a fantastic job. I want to thank them but now is the time to change."

Ancelotti, who guided Chelsea to a league and cup double last season, is hoping his side can push on in 2010/11 despite seeing considerable experience head through the exits.

He has also revealed that the UEFA Champions League will be a top priority for the Blues next season, after they fell at the last 16 stage to eventual champions Inter Milan last term.

"Our aim is to do better than last year in the Champions League," added Ancelotti.

"We went out too early last season. It is not easy to be competitive in every competition.

"If it's possible then we want to repeat what we did last year in the other competitions."

Essien delight at return

Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has expressed his delight at making a goalscoring return to action in a pre-season win over Crystal Palace.

The Ghana international missed the second half of last season with a knee injury, a blow that also curtailed his World Cup finals.

However, Essien has been back in full training and made a long-awaited comeback in Saturday's 1-0 friendly success at Selhurst Park.

Essien bagged the winner for Chelsea, who were without a host of first-team regulars, with a left-foot shot from the edge of the area on the hour mark.

"It feels good, it's been a long time but I am back in full training now, everything is good and there is no reaction from the training, so things are looking good for me," Essien told the club's official website.

"I didn't have any holidays because of my rehab, but it will be good to start up again and I am looking forward to the rest of the boys coming back as well.

"I'd love to have been there playing at the end of the season, it wasn't easy for me but I supported my team-mates to win their matches, that's all I could do.

"I became a supporter and to end the season with two trophies was amazing and I was enjoying it like everyone even though I didn't play the whole season."

Chelsea were without their World Cup stars in South London, although Essien was partnered by John Obi Mikel in midfield while Petr Cech started in goal.

The Blues were on the front foot from the off with Franco Di Santo testing Julian Speroniwhile Essien came close to opening the scoring in the 27th minute with a looping half-volley.

Daniel Sturridge for Chelsea and Darren Ambrose for Palace flashed efforts wide before the break before the ex-Manchester City man wasted a good chance after being closed down by Speroni.

Chelsea forged in front on the hour mark through Essien and that was his last involvement as Carlo Ancelotti rang the changes and the goal proved decisive as the Premier League champions held on for the victory.

Haha yeah I know, I can't work that one out either, why get an older player to replace one of the countries most skillful players? something was up with JC though as the last 3 managers never let him play 90 mins and nor did Capello during the World Cup!

I'd have Cole over Benayoun 8 days a week..

I really don't understand these 2 decisions, at all..

But yeah, i do agree that somethig is up or wrong with Cole.

There simply must be as if everything was ok, he'd get much, much more playing time for Club & Country.

Chelsea keeper Petr Cech may miss Premier League start

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is set to miss the start of the new Premier League season after tearing his right calf muscle in training on Tuesday.

Cech, 28, is expected to be out for a month, during which Chelsea play four pre-season games and the Community Shield against Manchester United.

The Blues open their Premier League title defence against West Brom on 14 August and face Wigan a week later.

The Czech international missed a month with a similar problem last season.

He fell in agony after taking a cross during Chelsea's Champions League defeat at Inter Milan in February, but returned in time to help them win a maiden league and FA Cup double.

Cech also tore his right calf muscle in a Champions League match against Schalke 04 in November 2007.

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is able to call upon Portuguese Henrique Hilario or former England Under-20 keeper Ross Turnbull - a free transfer from Middlesbrough in 2009 - as a replacement.

Cech, a £7m signing from Rennes in 2004, is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

His career almost ended in October 2006 when he required surgery for a skull fracture after a collision with Reading's Stephen Hunt.

Cech was out for three months and has since worn a protective headguard during games.

You didn't miss much, boys against men! <_<

Ajax 3 - 1 Chelsea

Chelsea goalkeeper Ross Turnbull endured a poor outing as his side slumped to a 3-1 Friendly match defeat against Ajax in Amsterdam.

An under-strength Blues took on Ajax, who have been boosted by manager Martin Jol'sdecision not to leave for Fulham.

The Dutch club went ahead when a cross from the right caused havoc in the Chelsea area as defender Jeffrey Bruma diverted in via the arm of Turnbull.

Premier League Champions Chelsea levelled through Daniel Sturridge, who scored with fine strike from range.

But then a long ball forward by Ajax keeper Maarten Stekelenburg drew a horrible moment for Turnbull.

The former Middlesbrough shot-stopper lost possession of the ball as he slid out of his area to allow Siem De Jong to slot home.

Korea's Suk Hyun-jun sealed the victory for Ajax as they claimed a decent win over a young Chelsea team captained by Michael Essien
