John Terry to visit security guard injured by his car

Chelsea captain John Terry is expected to visit a security guard who was injured when he was hit by the footballer's car at the club's ground.

Steve Rowley, 35, was hit as Terry was driving out of the Stamford Bridge ground on Tuesday evening after Chelsea's Champion's League defeat.

Mr Rowley, who suffered a badly bruised leg, said: "It wasn't his fault at all, it was a complete accident."

Chelsea said Terry was not aware of the incident until being called at home.

Chelsea suffered a 1-0 defeat by Inter Milan in the Champions League last-16 match.

After the game, Terry's 4x4 hit Mr Rowley, the club's deputy security manager, as he drove at 1-2 mph through a crowd of fans and photographers after the game, the club said.

'No bad feeling'

Terry was later breathalysed by Surrey Police and found to be within the legal alcohol limit.

A spokesman for the player said the breathalyser test showed nothing as the player had not had any alcoholic drinks before the accident.

He added that Terry answered questions asked by officers and "that was the end of the matter".

The "apologetic" footballer later spoke to Mr Rowley and will visit him on Thursday, the spokesman added.

Police had initially said Mr Rowley had been left with a broken leg, but Mr Rowley issued a statement saying the injury was not as serious as first reported.

"It is badly bruised. John was quickly in contact with me once he realised what had happened and there's no bad feeling at all on my part," he said.

"It wasn't his fault at all, it was a complete accident."

Following the incident a Chelsea spokesman said: "John was aware at the time that there was a lot of contact with his car during the incident, but not that anyone was injured as a result."

Terry was recently sacked as England captain by manager Fabio Capello following allegations he had an affair with an England team-mate's ex-girlfriend.

He is alleged to have had an affair with Vanessa Perroncel, the ex-partner of England and former Chelsea defender Wayne Bridge, who now plays for Manchester City.

Errm no,If I thought they were '<deleted>',I wouldn't have left them in.Now if you're asking me if the squad needs strengthening after getting shot of 10 first team regulars,to win a Champions League, then the answer is yes.

Looks like John Terry is in the news again.....

"John Terry breaks Security Guard's Leg".............. :D

http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2010...d-breathalysed-

If you hit someone hard enough with your car to break their leg you would know about it. You need to get rid of this walking Bad News Story asap.

The security guards leg was not broken and was hit accidentally, JT has since spoken to the guard in question to check on welfare and no hard feelings on the guards part were expressed......"It wasn't his fault at all, it was a complete accident."........story finishes! :D

Seapok, he drove away from the scene of an accident & one which he was " completely aware that there was a lot of contact "..

" It wasn't his fault " of course it wasn't Mr Security Guard when you've just recived a nice little Cheque signed by Mr Abramovich.. :)

The Fella reckons he's now above the fcukign law & no wonder when your pox of a Club allow him to behave the way he does so regulary..

Disgraceful, again..

hatred can sure pile up!

No no no no, anyone who's known me for more than 5 minutes will know my thoughts since day dot on JT, <deleted> pox of a Man that sums up your Club these days perfectly..

As i said in another Post that you seemed to have conveninetly ignored, we may be sh*t but we are a Football Club, you lot are nowhere near that & are Captained by someone who has less Morals than Saddam Hussein had & for all the Trophies in the World, i know what one i'd rather support & be associated with..

What did you make of the Bridge affair Seapok ??

What did you make of him rumping his then best Mate's Missus ( or Ex, it's irrelevent ) that had bore him a Son ??

Did you think it was ok to do that ??

Do you think it's ok to drive off from the scene of an Accident when you had " full knowledge that the was major contact " & a Man was screaming under the Wheels of your Car ??

Do you think it's ok to pocket 10k GBP to show Kids around the Chelsea Training Ground & Stamford Bridge when you are the Club & England Captain & when you know full well that it isn't sanctioned & you haven't been authorised to do so ??

Do you think it's good that 35k people seemed to regulary defend those actions in every Chelsea Home Game with some even waving " We love you JT " Flags & allowing the Son's to do so too ??

Would you allow your Kids to follow a role Model like that & want them to grow up thinking it's ok to live your life like JT does & with the morlas he seems to have ??

Give him a Knighthood..

The thing is Singhy I will never speak badly of a blue boy to another football fan other than a fellow Chelsea fan, I do have my own opinions of the whole affair of whats been happening but I'm not gona be discussing it on this....some might say its blind love for the club and its players perhaps. You have to look back over the last few seasons to see how well JT has played for the club and that he is voted by his fellow professionals season after season to be in the UEFA best 11, I will say though the last 2 months haven't been good and this will certainly not be a season to remember.

But this has NOTHING to do with the way he plays Football does it, it has no relevence whatsoever & that's a completely different arguement entirely ??

Come on..

You can call it blind love, i'll call it somthing else, we'll agree to disagree then but i will say if it was one of my own, i wouldn't be blinded by love in the slightest, i'd prefer to keep it completely real & transparent & wouldn't give a monkeys who heard me..

That's the difference between East & West London i guess... :)

Spades should be called spades. Twunts should be called twunts.

Don't care if it's my player. Don't care if it's my brother. Call it like it is. Man up.

Understand what you are trying to say but totally disagree and i'd never want him wearing my clubs shirt. If i were a Chelsea supporter i'd be gutted at the way my club had handled the whole thing as much as anything

Personally, i don't think commenting on JT's off the field actions has any bearing on your loyalty. I certainly don't think anyone questioned oldgit's loyalty when he spoke his mind frankly, did they?

Anyway, your call.

Listen, what's so strange with Seapok's 'blind love' for his Club? There's plenty of other people on this Forum with exactly the same attitude. You talk about calling a spade a spade, rix, and you're one of the very few that would about your Club and players but there are plenty here, especially on the Man.Utd.,Man. City and Liverpool sections, that have their head in the sand.
