What's a BMT?

according to google,

Subway's best-selling sandwich, the B.M.T., contains pepperoni, salami, and ham. The name originally stood for Brooklyn Manhattan Transit, but now stands for "Bigger, Meatier, Tastier".

And when their grilled chicken is actually 45% soy and their chicken strips are over 55% soy according to Canadian tests you are certainly getting a healthy sub. Not!

Statement from Subway Canada:

“SUBWAY Canada cannot confirm the veracity of the results of the lab testing you had conducted,” the company said, adding, “Our chicken strips and oven roasted chicken contain 1% or less of soy protein. We use this ingredient in these products as a means to help stabilize the texture and moisture. All of our chicken items are made from 100% white meat chicken which is marinated, oven roasted and grilled.”

Further research will make it clear but I believe the version of Subway will be much closer to the truth. Companies like that are very sensitive about making false claims and any damage it can do to their reputation. But of course wild theories, false tests and alternative facts tend to be more popular or even credible at ThaiVisa.....

They say the chicken is marinated. That might be the step where the soy protein comes from?

[emoji23] Bigger, Meatier, Tastier, sounds like a porn film title.

Which does not mean the chicken is only "half chicken", as many readers are going to assume.  DNA analysis is complex and that report was irresponsible and sloppy, but on par with how media has been reporting science lately.

I would happily eat my 69 Baht Sub of the meal deal, Chicken breast on a Thursday , even if it was 90 % porcupine

they tasted a lot better at 49, two years ago.

I dont think the Chicken breast sub was available for 49 Baht .

The 49 Baht ones were the sliced chicken and ham ones

Arrived at Arcade this morning .

Looking forward to an Bacon & Egg breakfast baguette

Only to be told they they no longer do breakfast baguettes and neither do any other CM Subways

Cut-backs usually mean financial issues

Wonder whether this is the beginning of the end for CM Subways
