Man Shoots Daughter Then Turns Gun on Himself

CityNews – A father suffering from severe stress shot his daughter before turning the gun on himself. Locals managed to rush the daughter to hospital but the father died at the scene.

On May 23rd, 50-year-old father, Wankuen Suksawatmanasperm shot his 22-year-old daughter, hitting her in the arm, while she was riding a motorbike to work. Wankuen shot her from the second floor window of his home in Ban Tab, Mae Chaem.

The daughters injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

He then turned to gun on himself and committed suicide.

Thailand has to do a better job at promoting mental health options...providing a place to turn...people to talk with...when depression and desperation sets in...

A good place to advertise this government provided and promoted service would be the Thai Soaps on TV...all those characters have need of psychological evaluations...a perfect place to promote mental health...
