Using chrome and reading thaivisa news and the daily recap of topics I have been getting an annoying popup ad from free.com.00.site. It tells me my phone has been selected to win an iPhone 6.

Never get it browsing any other site. I have to go into history to delete, as many as 12 times if reading topics clicked on in the recap email. I have adblocker using Android on asus phone.

Anyone know what causes this and can it be blocked?

I get the same shit. Cant go back, and have to close out and start again. Websites get paid for you leaving a site to go to another, so we're being screwed over to make money for this site.

Maybe using the mobile android app would be better than using a browser?

I am sent an email listing about 60 TV postings of the day. I like to search through there and read some interesting things that i would never take the time to search for. It is while reading the links in that email listing that this annoying popup keeps coming. It started about two weeks ago. I won't get the same info from a thaivisa.app without searching individual sub-forums.

In Chrome go to settings/cookies.

In the search box type in the problem site name and remove it.

Click done and on the next page click Manage exceptions. Add: [*.]free.com.00 to the list and select block

Then you need to clear you cache.

Often this will fix the problem. If it happens again then you are revisiting the site where it started. As you have had your topic up since this morning and no-one else has said they have the same problem then it may have nothing to do with Thai Visa but something you have clicked on or opened elsewhere. It can be difficult to track down where it all started. I've had similar happen before and eventually tracked it down to a torrent site and an online shopping portal.

If all the above doesn't work, and a virus or adware scan doesn't either, then the usual sure way of ending it is to reset your browser to default but that deletes all your settings.
