Maybe you have met one or two in your life before . . .

Ten things you might not know about psychopaths:
1. They do not blink as often as other people and have a stare or intense gaze. This gives psychopaths a penetrating look that can be perceived as fascinating.
2. Many psychopaths are additionally narcissists and therefore has a very strong self-perception and a strange view of their abilities.
3. Psychopaths can be very difficult to detect because they are true chameleons and quickly turns coat after the wind.
4. Many or most of the studies on psychopaths have been implemented in US prisons and this has given rise to the image of the psychopath as a criminal. Hollywood movies are also responsible for spreading the image of the psychopathic mass murderer. In fact there are very few psychopaths in prison, most of them live among us - ready to exploit us in any way ...
5. Psychopaths take the easy road in life and feel entitled to material rewards, success in life, or sexual pleasure, which they acquire through manipulation, lies and threats. Therefore, they are social predators .
6. They know the difference between right and wrong but they are utility oriented - and do not think the rules are there for them. They have no feelings of guilt, shame and empathy. Psychopaths lacks in fact strong feelings of all kinds - they may for example pretending to be madder than they actually are.
7. Studies have shown that non-criminal psychopaths can become police officers, lawyers, soldiers, politicians, surgeons and businessmen. They seek out positions of power in society and capable to keep out of trouble if they violate laws and norms thanks to a social network.
8. Psychopaths realize already as a child that they are different, but they can form an opinion about others that they are the ones that are incorrect. They can, for example, believe that everyone plays roles and they are therefore very good at pretending.
9. A series of behaviors that are considered psychopathic has to do with the upbringing and education. Most people who end up in prison iare not psychopaths. In fact, they have either adapted to or learned to survive in a hostile environment.
10. The psychopat has a dark vision of the world and the people in it. They are convinced that the people at heart are evil. In addition, psychopaths have none or just a little sense of humor. They are smart and learn to recognize the joke; they are not funny and does not see the point of humor, but they can still be entertaining thanks to the personal charm they exude, and the strong feelings they can evoke in us ordinary people.
