get a 4G wi-fi modem unlocked

Featured Replies

Anyone know where I can a 4G wi-fi modem unlocked - I'd like to be able to use a Thai SIM in one.

It would help if you let people know in which area you are looking for this

Sorry - Cholburi/Rayong

although if you have a suggestion anywhere, I would call them.

where do you suggest?

If a branded Huawei stick, the connection program (for windows) is in the ROM. You can use the stick by surpassing the "boot".ROM by a custom program like ixconn for linux or mwconn for windows. The program loads all needed provider values (for Thailand and other countries) when started. Can also be edited.

Info and download:http://www.mwconn.net

It's not a "stick" - it's model E5573s-606[/size]

Lots of links online as to how to unlock that model.

Yes- it was established early on that there are a lot of links - most involve downloading an app.......so I've found a chap who already has an app and left it with him.....will let you know how he gets on.

I didn't see a single one involving an app. Flashing new firmware perhaps.
