I know both well. BKK Hospital has been my primary choice since last year. Docs are good, BKK-H being new must gain a reputation, can´t screw up. More pleasant, not crowded. Often promotions.

Just 2 months ago I had a simple check-up. What matters are the conclusions the doctor draws from th info. I was told 2 thing I hadn´t known before.

In terms of getting the tests accurately done, any hospital will do (though they tend not to advise well regarding what you need, and the packages are geared to Asian epidemiology not Western, so you need to do your homework and know what tests to get) but the difficulty is getting a meaningful, thoughtful review of the results in the context of your medical history, lifestyle and any symptoms. Most hospitals fall far short on thsi score and I see errors in both directions - missing significant abnormalities and telling peopke they are fine, and recommending unnecessary additional tests for findings that are nto really significant for that person.

The best GP in CM area appears to be Dr. Morgan of the HCMC clinic. http://www.healthcaremedicalclinic.com/index.php

I suggest calling to see if they offer check-up packages. If not, then get one at any hospital but bring the results to her to review.

Right now Bangkok Hospital is offering a very nice special on their health check up packages, ending August 11.  (i.e. a Mother's Day promotion, that's available on both male and female screening packages).  You can have the actual health screening before October 31, but the payment needs to be made by August 11.

Recently, I know someone who had a health screening with Dr. Morgan.  She does a basic exam in her office and has the capability to do an EKG.   She sends the blood and urine samples to an outside lab and she has to refer patients to other facilities for more advanced screening tests like chest x-rays, bone density and ultrasounds.

I think the most efficient course would be to obtain a Bangkok Hospital screening and then make an appointment with Dr. Morgan for an in depth review of the results.

Note:  Bangkok Hospital is calling this the "Super Woman" special, but they're offering good discounts on their men's health check-ups too.

The basic (mostly blood) tests done at say McCormick Hospital, tests only, will cost about 2,500 baht, that will include: liver panel, lipids panel, CBC, A1C, renal panel urine. A visit to doctor Morgan to interpret the results will cost you 400 baht.

I went to Sripath Medical Center 2 years ago when they opened and was very happy.  Also the prices were better than most hospitals. Now my wife went, it became a government minded Medical center, waiting hours and not very customer oriented and pricy. I would not come back.
