First, I'd get an idea of market prices for your car of choice from a wesite such as one2car.com

After that, try to find a private seller, preferably from someone you know, etc... they can make salvaged car look brand new in Thailand, so buyer beware when going to the 'tents.'

Finally, as the above poster mentioned, check out the motor forum sponsor.

Does anyone have any ideas re the above in BKK? Reliable, not rip off prices and if possible (highly doubt), honest??? :o

Go to a local book store and buy one of the Thai auto magazines that have hundreds of used car listings.Around 50bht. You can check prices in the mag. also as they have charts for all models and go back a about 5yrs.
