come fly with me.

Hi,everybody.Am going for a short break soon.Have checked flights and the best deal is with Thai Smile.we live in Khon kaen and mrs Kaen has never flown before.I thought it might be a good idea to take a drive to the airport and show her around. The idea being that it might 'warm'her up a bit.

Can anyone tell me if there is a Thai Smile desk or ticketing counter at KK Airport.

Ive been reading a lot of stuff about people being robbed of Millions of baht lately through ATM's and card fraud.

Ive been turned off by the idea of paying by card.

I would prefer to pay for the trips in cash if possible.

Thanx in advance

Regards as always.

KKD.

There is counter for all airlines from Khon Kaen incl. Thai Smile.

As far as I remember Thai Smile has a counter payment option (7/11 or the like).

So you can book online and pay at a counter next to you.

Be aware: the cheapest prices ("Promo") are only available with online booking and not at the airport counter.

1050 Baht KKC to BKK in September.

Thai Smile counter payment options.

So plenty of options to pay with cash.

I assume (but don't know) that there might be a small fee?

The opposite. If you pay with your credit card, it's usually a booking fee of around 190 baht. When you pay at a 7 Eleven it's only 39 baht.

Weird, or? No idea if a more expensive flight also means a higher fee.

NO!

There is no fee for CC payment at Thai Smile!

Are you referring to another LCC?

I booked with them often enough and never paid a single Baht extra from the advertised price. I paid multiple times with Kasikorn virtual CC.

The only trick is the "insurance" that is inserted without req. and has to be unchecked.

(independent from that foreign country CCs might add a fee for use abroad)

1050 remains 1050:

For counter payment there will be a fee (varying depending on shop).

ATM

Transaction fee may be charged at the service point depending on passenger payment service providers.

Dave you haven't been reading about people being robbed at ATM's, what you have been reading about (or not reading about as it seems ...lol) is the banks ATM's have been hacked and forced into paying out the banks money. Nothing to do with the customers accounts.

Thanx to all the posters who bothered to help me out with this.I will be paying by SCB debit card then.Maybe i misread the blogs that said about people having their accounts robbed.I will pay on line,as i think that is the better option.

Once again people, thank you one and all.

I always get better help here than on other forums.
