Bangkok Hospital C/Mai,what a Bo Derek

IF the OP actually paid 52,000 baht, I would be shocked. I had the same procedure a year ago at Lanna Hospital and it was less than 1/10th of that cost.

OP did not give enough detailed info for anyone to know what was done, how large and where so you can't know you had the same procedure unless you talked with Mr Rollypollie.

  • Anyone considering plastic surgery should consider looking outside major hospitals in Chiang Mai, there are alternatives. 5 years ago I had a Basel Cell Carcinoma (BCC) on the back of my left han

  • OP, Whilst midly amusing, I was unable to decipher most of that. Any chance you advising in plain English what message you are trying to convey?   Thankyou kindly, and a goodnight to you.

To add a bit to this thread: I recently saw Dr. Siri at Maharajah's fancy new building; he's very well known as a top dermatologist among the expat community, many of us having seen him at his night clinic near Somphet Market on Moon Muang which he now attends occasionally.

The estimate (prepared by staff, not Dr. Siri) for two excisions and two biopsies was 11k baht: it included a charge of 1500 baht for "surgical supplies."

I declined.

Anyone had recent experience with Dr. Opat ?

thanks, ~o:37;

True, it may have been 1/4th the cost.

Needless to say, I don't understand what the OP did. Is he going to pay these charges because he: "... felt a sigh of relief that the prices given,were  very reasonable for the surgery to be carried out.,etc etc."

So the costs are wildly inflated but he will do this procedure because it's reasonable?

I'm not sure what's going on at all.

I am aware of other...."interesting" fees they charge over there at Bangkok Hospital.

They have physical exams -- check ups -- that are identical to Lanna's, for example, for 10 times the price. The place is an insurance scam-raker for sure.

the above post is a load of rubbish, or trolling would be a better term
