I already paid in full, after the sales man assured me tnat it will be the first 765 to be delivered on April 8th.  Now the salesman is saying that's when the bike will be  delvered to Triumph Bangna, and they need a couple of days setting up the bike for delivery.  I can only hope  it will be before Songkran.  BTW, it will be delivered to  Motor Sport Park Suvarnabhumi, where I can safely break it in..

This 765 cc engine is to be used in the MOTO 3 bikes next year,  The triple engine is very useable , in the real world.

A bit unfair that letting a 765 cc bike race with 250 cc bikes.

For those interested

There had been uncertainty over the future of the Moto 2 engine supplier since the beginning of this year. Honda had extended the deal to supply CBR600RR engines until the end of the 2018 season, but as the Japanese manufacturer was stopping production of its middleweight sports bike, it was clear that a replacement would have to be found.

Two question marks hang over the use of the Triumph engine. The first is the serious question of reliability. The Triumph Daytona 675R is still raced in several national Supersport championships (though no longer in World Supersport), and although the bike is relatively nimble and quick, it also had a reputation for engine problems.

OPPS. Thanks for correcting me Kwasaki.  Yes , its the Moto 2 engines. There has been some reliability problems , and they are searching for 10 more BHP.

Watch BSB UK from Brands Hatch this weekend,Alistair Seely on a Spirit moto 2 bike, its a 675 triple triumph engined special, 2nd 1st time out at donny, could be the testbed for the new moto 2 engines for 2018.

l would think that was an upgrade, l stand to be corrected though from what reports l've read for Moto 2.

675R is no longer in World Supersport they already are developing the 765 cc triple as that was chosen bid as the replacement in Moto 2.

Can't remember whether it was riders or chassis engineers that were complaining that 600RR was too wide, cure that problem with a V twin.

Personally l would prefer to see more manufacturers in Moto 2 rather than just one engine supplier.

Yep,the one make engine thingy spoils it a bit for me to,also the frames,Kalex,Suter ect, never heard of them before moto 3 came along, and i dont know what will happen in the future with them, perhaps different makes in these frames would be more entertaining?

Hmm, the truth is that without Moto2 and Moto3 we would not have the top racers in the MotoGP. As all new names in MotoGP come from Moto2 racing...

Moto2 forces riders to fine tune the riding skills and not rely on power to win the race. Moto2 is also very important for chassis and suspension development.

For some in motorcycle racing it’s not a surprise that Yamaha is this year so dominant in the MotoGP, and why on a bit difficult circuit in Argentina only the two teams that are also active in Moto2 racing scored points. You could say that this two teams have superior chassis and suspension knowledge...

Same in N. America. For some car classes. They have Claimer Rules - where you can pay and buy the engine from the first 4 finishers in a race. Intended to keep costs down, and develop driver skill and suspension development.

How much to claim engine?

Horse racing also has claims races.

Jamie Whitham was talking about this today at Brands, also saying BSB needed a new BSS class and this would fit the bill perfectly,as it already has the 600 superstock class..
