camsouth Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 (edited) hello all , looking to find the opening times at immigration here in Hua Hin. Doing my yearly this week so any advice would be great. Was doing it in Chiang Mai ,and do they have a website here for Hua Hin ? thanks Edited November 8, 2016 by camsouth
KhunBENQ Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 I would be surprised if it is any different from the usual office hours of 8:30h to 16:30h with a lunch break. I will try to find.
KhunBENQ Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 (edited) From another source (without warranty): Quote They are open from 08.30 to 15.30 Monday to Friday, they are closed for public holidays . The immigration office can be reached on 032-653617. No mention of lunch break. AhFarangJa Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Opening times are 8:30 to 12:00 then 1:00 to 4:00 ( or may be 4:30), but they are definitely closed for lunch as it actually states that on the door :))
AhFarangJa Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Seats outside, take a ticket as you go in. Very helpful and polite people.
ukrules Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 It closes at 16:30. When I'm doing either a 90 day report or an extension I generally arrive at 15:30 and I'm in and out of there in 10-15 minutes. I've been doing my yearly extensions in June when it's very quiet and the only time I go anywhere near the place in high season is in December for a 90 day report which has a different queue to the 'extension crowd' - pretty efficient really.
whatproblem Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Mine took 4 hours to get served a few weeks ago
pcliff069 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Was there Wednesday (twice - forgot a document in the morning). Hours are as above - 8.30 to 4.30 with lunch 12 to 1. 90 day reporting has been moved to a demob at the back of car park. Not a real worry as I do mine online and at any rate have only had to do one this year. First time in was quick, second time took a lot longer as person in front of me took 40 minutes to do what should be a 5 minute job. And that included a 10 minute saunter by his Gf/Wife to get sme photo copying done. But all in all no issues (other than the one I created) and well done to HH Immigration.

Jedsada3 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Hua Hin Immigration is very fast and they have a very good friendly service. I usually arrive close for 12, take a ticket and then go have lunch. When I come back it's my turn within 10-15 min.

I got there at 9.30 ,I was doing my visa for take care child ,only one guy to see and when I got there mine was the next number ,after he finished the guy in front of me he had a short break and then let people jump the queue,at at lunch time they stop for a hour and he said I was next ,after lunch he let someone else jump the queue ,in the end I went and stood in front of his desk but they keep telling me to sit down ,refused politely and in the end we sat next seat to his desk ,when I got to see him it took 15 minutes maximum,I had what I needed papers all in order ,the thing I did wrong was I went with my child and not have Thai lady to sweet talk him .disgusting behaviour making me and my child wait that long and why have numbers and let people sweet talk there way first
ICECOOL Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Best to go after lunch. Afternoons always seem to be quieter at Hua Hin. Staff are generally pretty friendly.

If this ever happened to me I would simply not allow it and if they told me to sit down things would not go well. Remember, these government servants are like machines who stamp passports - they have virtually zero say in what goes on - they have to follow the law to the letter and you can call them out if they do something wrong. Personally I would film them and report them to a higher authority. I guess that's easy for me to say when I have a 5 year visa. Edited November 8, 2016 by ukrules
migrant Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 Went yesterday, got there 1:15. I was extending my 90 day O visa to 12 months and getting a multiple reentry permit. It seemed only one guy doing this, our number sequence was 400's, but most were 200's. All officers but him were dealing with 200's. This officer we have had before, decent english and very helpful, but he was taking a long time with #404 (we were 414 which seemed funny because not many people there). He finally finished and they called the next number. Between 405, and us, there was only one taker who finished quickly. We came up and finished in about 20 minutes so about an hour all told.

I take care my child alone ,if I argue with them I they will make problem for my visa ,there is no one to complain to who will do something about it and then next year I will have problems again

I think you will find they have a lot of say in what goes on, they have the power to refuse to stamp anyone and if you think they have to follow the law to the letter I do have to wonder if you actually live in Thailand, they can make things very difficult if they want There was a story not so long ago of a Brit using the F word to a I/O at Pattaya Immigration, he was deported 2 days later It can be frustrating dealing with Immigration sometimes but remember they have a lot more power than you do and can ruin your life if they wish to do so The staff at HH Immigration are not over friendly but do a efficient job IMO, I have never had any issues in the times I have visited Edited November 15, 2016 by darrendsd
