I am married to  a Thai and  working in a school in Bangkok. My contract is 11 months. The school always ask us ( foreign teachers) at the end of February  to go to Laos in order to get a new non b ( don't ask me why because i don't know why they do that, it is simplest to just renew the work permit and the visa extension) . My question is: Can i stay in Thailand at the end of my contract and get a 2 months visa ( marriage ) and in May 2017 change it to a non B at Chaeng Wattana  immigration office?

You can get a 60 day extension to visit your wife. It will be an extension of your original non-b visa so you should be able to apply for the one year extension near the end of it.

Perhaps you should try and apply for an extension of stay based upon marriage instead of teaching. You can get a work permit and teach with it. You would need 400k baht in a Thai bank for 2 months or if your salary is 40k baht or more you could show tax payment receipts to prove it..

Thanks for the prompt reply. I live in Nonthaburi and my Non b is from Bangkok? Will it be an issue when i need to convert it to a non b in Bangkok ( 2 different immigration offices) ? My salary is a little less than 40k and i don't have 400k savings .

There would be no conversion since your original permit to stay you will be extending was from a non-b visa.

You will be applying for an extension of stay based upon teaching not a non-b visa.

My actual visa will end on 31 March 2017 ( issued in Bangkok) . I would like to ask if i can get 2months visa in Nonthaburi immigration office  ( Married to a Thai). In May 2017 if i am still with my actual school will i be able to change it into a non B in Chaeng wattana ?

You will get a 60 day extension of stay to visit your wife not a visa. Not sure which of the two offices will do it since your current extension (it is not a non-b visa) was done at CW. Your current extension would have to be canceled to apply for the 60 day one which would have to be done at CW immigration.

As I said there will be no change. You will just apply for another extension.

If you can get a non O based on being married, 90 day single, you can still hold a WP and visa can be converted to an extension of stay.

Check some posts and you find places that can issue it without showing finances at the moment. That extension based on being married can't be cancelled by your school or their lawyer no matter what they tell you, fact.

Your WP can be but not the extension based on being married.

You report to Imm' every 90 days or it can be done for you.

Don't believe your school or lawyer who will tell you it must be a B.

I  recently retired after working here for over 10 years and every WP I had was issued on my multi O. I had to in/out every 90 days because I never bothered about changing to an extension, my choice.

I liked the fact that when the job finished my 'visa' was mine and I never had the 7 days and leave situation. Still had to do in/out every 90 days but my wife and self enjoyed the 2/3 days somewhere.

Since your original entry was on a non-b visa you would not be able to apply for a nonimmigrant visa at immigration. They can only be done with a tourist or visa exempt entry.

Since your entry was from a non-b visa you should be able to apply for an extension of stay based upon teaching with the supporting documents which would include a work permit.
