Can anyone help please? I sent off by post for my proof of income letter on the 10th January. It arrived 13th. Money got taken from my debit card on the 19th.January 2017.

The Embassy will not answer my email and the phone is always engaged.  Does anyone know how long I have to wait until I get it back?

Do I use something like key visas in Pattaya for speed? Are these better? At what stage do I give up with my postal attempt!

Thanks,

Presumably this is UK embassy related?

I sent my application on 19th January and received the Income Letter on 27th January.  It may be issues with your local mail delivery service. Contact info I have is: 02305 8318 (Pro Consul - Supawan Puttapong).

More than likely that if the letter has been mislaid in the post, they will arrange for a further original to be sent without additional cost.

When i used the proof of income letter (which i don't now because of the British Embassy's rip off charges) i used Key Visa. They provide a good service and guaranteed return dates. IMO post is too unreliable.

Agree that if your deadline is tight then either use Key Visa (I have used them in the past until they tripled their charges) or arrange an Embassy collection, if that is possible.

My extension deadline is over three months away but I like to have the paperwork in place well in advance. Have had no problems with the letter being dated a few months ahead of time - believe that anything up to six months is OK.

I sent my income letter request from Pattaya via EMS on 9th Jan, received at Embassy on 11th Jan, income letter dispatched from Embassy via EMS on 13th and received in Pattaya on 14th.

I suspect that there may be an issue with the OP's return address? Did you check the mailbox for a delivery exception (not at home) notice? Banglamung post office was piss poor late last year with international EMS deliveries and not leaving notices when there was nobody at home. I have also been told that EMS non-deliveries are returned to the newer Jomtien post office on south Sukhumvit.

Unfortunate that the Conuslar office aren't responding to email though as that is the best way to contact them to get a tracking number.
