DOUBTS HAVE been raised about the credibility of death threats allegedly made online against top government figures as authorities continue to hunt for the people involved.

Critics said this could be a “political joke” that would do nothing but raise public fears.

Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha yesterday said his government had started searching for the perpetrators who issued online threats against him and General Prawit Wongsuwan, his deputy and defence minister.

So full of self importance :whistling:

Note that it was the ISOC (Army) who attempted the car bombing; luckily someone high up nixed that at nearly the very last moment. Amazing that that just got swept under the carpet; just goes to show pretty much any brazen act can be fluffed over.

Some think the TG aircraft fire was also an attempt but that always looked more like general  (Thai airline safety) incompetence.

In general, political assassination is supposed to be against the un-written rules here, as it can escalate quickly and contribute to very long running feuds.

No failed amateur attempts as yet, no exploding eggs for breakfast, doctored car brakes, poisoned water- he needs real imagined attempts instead of just talking and hoping we all believe him ?

Why would this raise public fears?

They are not the targets!

I got death threats from local officials. Deal with it! Put your big boy pants on and worry about others for once. Truth knowing someone may not like you must be really sad.

Nobody say "booo" around him.

i dont wanna know how many think like....?

Just news to distract the people from the essentials.

Maybe an emojo looked at him with a scarey face on his Thailovelinks page.

Publicly Stunt as the PM and the fat one try to get everyone to feel sorry for the holly great ones

Anyhow I thought I read the fat one said police where handling it as he had faith in them

Little boys let them play

Can't wait to see the photo pointing at some fat teenager in front of his computer.

A little paranoia goes a long way, it would seem.

Or is this a case of misdirection, to focus our attention on one thing while there is something more important going on that we are not supposed to notice?

I dont see the issue. Im not a fan of the PM or any aspect of thai government but its normal in any country for death threats against PMs etc to be taken seriously and investigated

“PM orders hunt after assassination threats against him…

They've narrowed the list down to 7 million suspects.

Why do they have to announce every little thing ?   Threats and other crimes are investigated.  They cannot seem to wait until something substantive is found.  More talk.

I think that the PM represents the positive "wind off change" needed so badly...

Things never looked so good for Thailand ( for the honest part )

Where as before the slogan was "divide the people and rule", now at least some people want to unify and restore peace and order....

I really want to put a question mark with some posters here on TV...

Or, a pretext to go even further down the road the government has already gone in doing all the various things they do so well....

Perhaps he should stop singing.

I have a wide variety of newly designed tin hats for sale.....
