Tar removal

Featured Replies

Don't be fooled into buying expensive products.

Simply use another hydrocarbon like diesel or petrol.

I have used both before but prefer diesel because it doesn't affect the paintwork.

It does leave an oily finish but that can be removed with soapy water.

I don't know about the singing but I have found WD40 to be pretty effective at Tar Removal.

Carglo, the Cheapo Stuf in every 7/11 contains Kerosene, works well.Keep a Bottle in the Boot for Car Wash Folks who never seem to bother.

Hello, so the easiest and most efficient is WD40 ? If I don't find it, anything as easy to find in Thailand ? Thanks.

Sonax....Tesco have it......

Kerosene, your local paint shop will have it. 40B-50B for a litre.

WD40 worked for me last year....

Sonax is a great all rounder, as Trans mentioned... I don't sing but it works for everything else :)
