Can 30 day visa exemption be converted to Non-Imm for retirement at Pattaya

Featured Replies

If so, when during the 30 days should it be done and what are the requirements. Thank you!

It is possible. You need to apply while there is at least 15 days still left on your entry (in practice, apply as soon as you can satisfy the financial proof) and need either a certification of income of at least 65,000 baht per month from your embassy, or 800,000 baht in a Thai bank account as of the date of application. While Jomtien is able to do it, some have reported a considerable reluctance on the part of that office unless paid to act as an agent to facilitate the process.

Thanks for response.  Has anyone successfully done it without an agent recently?  Another punter in a different thread was saying it was impossible to do from an SETV even with the funds in his bank account.
