BANGKOK — A pigeon was blamed Tuesday for a malfunction on the Airport Rail Link that left hundreds of passengers stranded in stifling heat the night before.

 

The evening commuter rush was underway when the pigeon, said to be quite large, flew into a motor at about 6:30pm, according to Suthep Panpeng of the State Railway of Thailand’s Electric Train Co.

Finally Finally the Thais are learning something from the British, Network Rail to be exact.  Their service interruption was due to the wrong type of pigeon.

Time to bring out the fat cats to drive away those fat pigeons...

Fix the problem so pigeons of any size cannot fly into the motors.

Quit feeding the pigeons as a skinny pigeon would not have caused this delay.

It was probably from Myanmar. A Thai pigeon would never interrupt a rail link.
