Sooo, let's have some examples then.

Moving to The Pub.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

The Seinfeld Show, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. From an earlier era, The Honeymooners.

Larry David is the funniest man in human history, bar none.

Everybody Loves Raymond....

2 1/2 Men - had a good run....

Benny Hill always draws a laugh....

"Some Mother do av 'em" (Michael Crawford.)

"Fawlty Towers"

I can explain it for you - but I can't understand it for you 😀

Rodney you utter plonker....

if any of you guys from outside the U.K. aren't familiar with this, now's your chance to experience the best comedy the UK ever produced..... enjoy.

Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em S03-E06 - Australia House

Play it nice and cool son, nice and cool...

For me, there is no single "best" comedy show.

But, there is one that I can still watch 40+ years later and it's still relevant and funny (in a clever, but also slapstick way) - Monty Python.

The Cheese Shop

The Dead Parrot

Musical Mice

What did the Romans do for us

The Argument Clinic

Mr Creosote

To name just a few unforgettable sketches.

Warren Mitchell as Alf Garnett and Dandy Nicols as  the long suffering Else.

Father Ted

Times, tastes and we change. Lots of good choices so far. To "Golden Age" I'd add Phil Silvers show (Sgt Bilko), Dobie Gillis & Love that Bob...  peruse this site if you like oldies.... oh yeah... Burns & Allen Show was a hoot, http://www.reruncentury.com/ia/

Seinfeld

Blackadder, I even like the first series.

More recent.....The I T Crowd.

All in the Family... Archie Bunker was great

Blackadder ( I was beaten to it)

Fawlty Towers

Only Fools and horses!!

for me doesn't get any better than that !

paul hogan show .

newbies coming to pattaya and falling in love

Fawlty Towers

Only Fools, and horses.....good post above with Del and the bar, I cannot find a link, but close second was the chandelier cleaning...."brace yourself Rodney"......

Father ted

one foot in the grave

Early series of Mrs. Brown's boys.

I guess the list is endless, but I admit to struggling with American Humour.....No denigration intended, each to their own, but most of it goes over my head ..

Oh, and of course Monty Python.....

Don't forget Bab's Cabs!!!!!
