Hi all,

My girlfriend finally moved into her own room last week. I've been here 2 days and leave in just over a week. We've bought various pieces of basic stuff from Big C but we're both keen to replace the bed that she inherited when she moved in.

My budget is tight, I don't own a car and whilst the landlady is happy to help get rid of the old bed, is a little reluctant to advise where to get a new one.

I read the post earlier in January this year which was a bit helpful but if anyone can roll off a short list of bed shops I can try to find them on Googlemaps and pop in. Whenever I try to do an online search,  all I get are "Bed  and breakfasts hotels for sale" or online shops in Thailand.

Any help is appreciated.

Many thanks

South Pattaya Road....from Sukhumvit passed the Soi Bongkot-Soi Korpai intersection you will find a big furniture shop on the left.

Try your luck there and they deliver and install.

I've shopped all over town.  Index has the best selection and deals.  Especially if you are there when they have a promotion.  You can also just ask them and they'll tell you when the next promotion will be.

Index Living Mall.

He says he is tight on budget, so Index is not for him.
OP: Home Pro and Home Work have cheaper beds, but best guess is drive down the roads (any) and look out for furniture shops. Most shops deliver home for free

For real cheap stuff, try Tesco or Big C.

How is the existing bed frame?  i.e. Can you get away with just buying a new mattress/springs?  If so, try the open-air shop on the north-west corner of Soi Watboon & Sukhumvit in Jomtien.  I've seen reports here that the quality and price at that place were good.  I think they might deliver, too?

Best cheap bed is from a shop at the top of Pattaya Klang next to Sukhumvit, sorry forget name. Much better than Index etc.

Think it might have shut up shop. Looked deserted when I shot past it a few days ago

It's not deserted, but they "closed" the shop with glass, probably due to the loads of dust and sand that covered the furniture.

The existing fame has had its days. We looked up the matress. And saw various pieces of broken wood lying unevenly horizontal which would account for the dipping on either side of the bed. The matress could do with getting rid too. We came in the other night and saw some roaches scurry in a gap In to the frame. Last night we were in Central Festival and there was a shop called Altbed. They had a bed on sale, queen size 18,900 king size 19,900, claimed they would deliver and it included the matress. She tried to sweeten the deal by throwing in 2 pillows but i bought 2 decent ones at Big C earlier on in the week at 305b each. The bed has a decent frame and is on legs, where as my gfs Current frame is solid all the way round. Atleast with legs we can prevent the roaches. Been running around doing loads so only have one day before i fly. Will have a look at homepro and home work And Index. If there isnt time Then i will have to resort to buying on line when i get back home. Appreciate all the replies
