LInuxTLE 8.0 beta is released now. LinuxTLE is abbrevation of Linux Thai Languange Extension. LinuxTLE 8 is a great distribution since it has a better word cut utilities for Thai Fonts. So, Thai Fonts will be displayed much better than before. Furthermore, it comes with TLEdict, TLE control center. For web browser, LinuxTLE use Icewesel 2.0 instead of Firefox. It said that Icewesel 2.0 has a better thai font support.

LinuxTLE is based on Ubuntu 6.10.

IceWeasel is the name of two currently independent Mozilla Firefox rebranding projects. One is part of the Gnuzilla project, a GNU project to provide versions of Mozilla programs which are made of entirely free software. The other is a rebranded build prepared by Debian in order to satisfy a demand from Mozilla that they either drop the Firefox name or comply with other terms that Debian policies find unacceptable.

It is likely that Thai fonts support little has to do with selecting IceWeasel over Firefox, I think that the developers of OpenTLE did edit some source that did not went well with the Firefox developers

Linuxtle had been develloped by Thai's since long ago, and code inserts doesn't change the ownership

Linux TLE (pronounced Linux talay) is a Thai Linux distribution based on Fedora Core and developed by the Thailand National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC).

TLE stands for Thai Language Extension, as it was originally a Thai extension for Red Hat Linux. The pronunciation "talay" is a homophone of the Thai word ทะเล (the sea).

LinuxTLE 8.0 will be based on Ubuntu.

So.. would Thai font support be better compared to just plain old Ubuntu after clicking the checkbox to install the Thai language support? It seems to do word-break and spell check just fine. Then I just add some more Thai fonts and that's it?
