Escape Ladder and Security Screws No Jokes Please

Featured Replies

Anybody know if and where they can be purchased?

Thanks

Do you mean a fire escape ladder from an outside balcony or window?

If so, depending on what level you are on, a welding shop could fix you up.

Do remember, that with all such exits, they also can provide an entry point to unwanted people. That's why most of the fire escapes in Thailand are locked.

In reply to your question re ladder - Yes and No

Yes I mean a ladder to escape from a bedroom but

No not a fixed ladder but one you store inside the house. Probably made of rope and throw out if you need to escape. I have seen them in Europe but not here.

What floor are you on?
In your planning , you may wish to consider, how you would deploy and use the device when: the power is out and there are no lights, you can't see as there's too much smoke, it is blowing a gale, you have more than one person using it, and you're drunk.

I;m tempted to give you the standard answer to your casting assertions about my probity

Don't smoke, don't drink, don't don't share my bed with women (or men) - tell lies occasionally!

Seriously though, it's to escape through a bedroom window about 3 meters above ground. I could jump especially if I send my gf (what did I say about lying?) first for a soft landing!  :post-4641-1156694572:

Thanks,

Hadn't got round to Aliexpress yet (although I buy a lot of IT stuff there). Was hoping to find somewhere in Thailand to avoid duty and delivery hassle where I live.

OP anybody who would make a joke out of this is a moron.

First class idea, if you are good at d.i.y. try making 1 yourself, not too difficult.

I always send to a thai name and ship ems. Never had a problem yet, also most sellers on ali will put whatever price on the invoice you want, just ask them.

The above is completely useless. So? You chuck it out of the window. It rests against the wall. How do you get your foot onto the lower rung when the ladder is tight against the wall. You can't. You need hooks on the wall so that the ladder is half a shoe length from the wall. ( think swimming pool)

Of course those in the know would climb it like what it is, a rope ladder.

Yes, the standoffs make life easier of course.

^ Crossy that works as shown but not down the side of a house:smile:

Those in the know does not include Thai wives who haven't practiced  or most of the people on this forum.

They walk among us?

... and the images on aliExpress show it being climbed "wrongly".
