Or it might be some confusion, as apparently once holding a marriage non immigrant O 1 year extension, you "might" be able to open an account. Only to get that 1 year extension you need to have an account already 🙃 -

EMail address blocked
Since you mention Microsoft I assume it is a hotmail account. I gave up on hotmail ages ago, after I experienced the same debacle as you. A friend had his hotmail account locked a few months ago, and asked my help to recover it. We went through all the silly steps they require at least 10 times over the time span of a week, because after 3 or so attempts you are locked out for 24 hours, but impossible to recover the account, although we filled in everything correctly. The idiot friend the opened a new hotmail account against my advice. 🤦♂️ -

Here's a new one
First thing I hear of having to send documents to head office and waiting for approval before opening account. It's either on the spot or not at all. Maybe just covering so she can claim it's a head office decision so she doesn't have to take the loss of face!
