I've never taken a Thai International flight with a connection at Bangkok but I'm sure some on the forum must have and I would like clarification as to which terminal to use.

 

Bangkok Airways make it clear on their website that those with international connecting flights should check in at the International Terminal.

 

I've always sent any Thai passengers with similar flights to International but having printed a ticket for an elderly gentleman who requires a wheelchair, it states check in at Domestic. I don't think this is right but can anyone give definite clarification? 

International Terminal. Flew on TG last week hkt-bkk-fra. 

Thai Airways need to get their act together as they state domestic on their tickets. I wonder how many get this wrong?

Yup not really up to date. Like their "temporary" lounge at the new terminal. Surprisingly the on board service and hard product was on this flights better then expected and a fair deal.

It depends whether a passenger is flying Thai from Phuket on one ticket with their luggage going straight through to their final international destination, in which case they check in and clear Immigration in Phuket and remain in transit in BKK. They are directed to the gate near the Domestic terminal and join others on their flight who could be international or domestic. 

Similarly passengers flying Thai into BKK internationally on one ticket, clear Immigration in transit there but their luggage goes to the International Terminal at HKT but they land at the Domestic Terminal and are directed to International to collect their luggage and clear Security and exit there.
