Alternative to Brintellix/Vortioxetin

Featured Replies

Hi

Apprarently Vibryd is an alternative. Can I get it (in CM)? Where?

Any other alternatives that are avilable here?

Many thanks.

The only form of Vortioxetin available in Thailand is Brintellix. It is a controlled drug so available only on prescription which usually means from a hospital pharmacy or a psych clinic. It will be expensive as it is an import.

Vibryd is not the same thing, it is Vilazodone. Similiar but not identical. And not available here at all.

There are many other antidepressents here, some of them sold over the counter,  but they differ in mode of action in some respects from  Vortioxetin and it would be unwise to change medication on your own. Presumably your doctor had a reason for prescribing Vortioxetin.

A psychiatrist with her own clinic who has been recommended by other TV members in CM is

Dr Kittiwan
