Sport Medicine

Featured Replies

Are there any Sport Medicine clinics here in Chiang Mai.  I seem to have developed a persistent shoulder injury that is interfering with my ability to work out and play sports.

Dr. Chanakarn Phornphutkul. His clinic is around the corner from Rajavej Hospital. He is a sports medicine expert. Nice guy, great doctor.

...anything down south?

down South????? As in Bangkok? Phuket? I don't know but would imagine so...

Since this is the Chiang Mai forum, I can only assume that "down south" is Hang Dong...  Either than, or the poster has mis-posted.

Well Dr. Chanakarn is way down the C.M.-Lamphun Road on Th. Charoenprathet; right along the Mae Ping River. That's pretty far South.

Can you please post a Google Map reference for his clinic?  I screwed up my knee in a tournament in Bangkok yesterday. Feels as if I've torn either a tendon or a ligament.

Unless he has moved, this is where I saw him up until last December.  The photo is looking slightly NW on Charoen Prathet toward his clinic.  The clinic is open in the evenings, but I forget which days.

Getting old sucks 'eh?  Me too, same same but different.  Shoulder for me.  I have no idea how or when, but it plays hell with all the sports activities I do.  It would be nice to find out what's going on.

Hummm :glare: No problem with the hydraulics 'down south', and the misses made me give up that particular sport when we got married.  I'm only allowed to work out at home.  :whistling:
