Septic tanks are too deep ???

The tops of our septic tanks will be  about 60cm below grade. Is there anything to extend these round access doors? Our general (who has proven himself to be worthless) is saying he will lay the common red brick to raise the access openings to grade. All I can picture is no surface area to lay the brick on & it breaking apart in a few years. I would think they make a black plastic extension for those things, this has to be a common issue.

Anybody aware of anything or suggestions?

Thanks!

Not seen any form of tank extension, they may be available of course.

In the absence of the beast in question I would use one or two of the smaller concrete rings to create a pit. Leave the tank as-is with its lid in place and place another cover over the top of the rings, maybe a steel frame with polycarbonate or even sheet steel.

Make sure you can get the lid off the tank.

You might check with the septic tank manufacturer in Thailand. DOS septic tanks have instructions. Safe Brand septic tanks also include instructions in Thai language and English language with drawings so the home builders in Buriram Isaan understand how to properly install septic tanks for a house.  Like everything in Thailand when you build a home, there are several grades or series offered by each reputable building materials company for the same size. DOS offers four different series of septic tanks in different price ranges.  I've attached a SAFE brand septic tank that has proven helpful when I had a home built in a Thailand Village.

It was ok till #4. A plastic septic tank should be filled with water at the same time as the hole is backfilled with small pea gravel.
