Speech therapist

Hi does anyone know or are you a speech therapist in and around the measrui district chiang rai, as my partner has suffered stroke like speech after a severe attack of meningitis. I would be grateful for any information that could point us in the right direction.

You won't find this in your district, they are few and far between in Thailand.

Also, you yourself can help by just talking to him a lot and being very patient with his attempts to speak - allow plenty of time for him to form words. The tendency is to speak less with people like this or to find their sentences for them, try not to do that and instead persevere with conversation.

 

Usually the person understands what is said and knows what they want to say, the words just come out wrong.
