Public Transportation Network Alternatives A and B

CityNews – Chiang Mai Public Transit Master Plan (CM-PMAP) has announced alternatives of public transportation network using Light Rail Transit system (LTR) divided the two options into plan A and plan B.

 

Plan A comprises of ground stations and subway stations with 3 major routes including
Red route, a 12 km starting from ground station at Nakorn Ping hospital – Chiang Mai Provincial Government Center – 700th anniversary stadium – International Convention Center – Chang Phueak police station and switching to subway at Khuang Singh tunnel – Chiang Mai Rajabhat University – Chang Phueak bus terminal – Chiang Mai Ram hospital – Suan Dok hospital – (red and blue routes intersection) – Wattanothai Payap School – Chiang Mai International Airport – Department of Land Transport – Big C Hang Dong

 

Green route, a 12 km starting from ground station Ruam Chok intersection and switching to subway route at Thepanya Hospital – Central Festival Chiang Mai – Arcade Bus Terminal – McCormick Hospital – Dara Academy – Prince Royal’s College – Warorot Market – Chiang Mai Municipality Office – Night Bazar – Regina Coeli College – Sacred Heart College – Montfort College Primary School – Chiang Mai Land – Central Plaza Chiang Mai Airport – The Far Eastern University – Chiang Mai International Airport (green and red routes intersection)

 

Blue route, a 11 km starting from sub way station at Chiang Mai Zoo – Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna – Chiang Mai University – Ton Payom Market – Suan Dok hospital – (red and blue routes intersection) – Wat Phra Singh – Tha Phae gate – Night Bazar – (blue and green intersection) – San Pa Khoi market – Chiang Mai Railway Station and then switching to ground station at Nong Pratheep intersection – Big C Don Jun – Promenada Resort Mall

 

Plan B comprises of 3 major routes, with no underground stations including
Red route, a 15.65 km distance starting from Nakorn Ping hospital – Chiang Mai Provincial Government Center – 700th anniversary stadium – International Convention Center – Chang Phueak police station Khuang Singh intersection – Chiang Mai Rajabhat University – Chang Phueak bus terminal – Chiang Mai Ram hospital – Suan Dok hospital – (red and blue routes intersection) – Wattanothai Payap School – The Far Eastern University – (red and green routes intersection) – Chiang Mai International Airport -Department of Land Transport – Big C Hang Dong

 

Green route, a 11.11 km distance starting from Ruam Chok intersection – Thepanya Hospital – Central Festival Chiang Mai – Arcade Bus Terminal – McCormick Hospital – Dara Academy – Prince Royal’s College – Warorot Market – Chiang Mai Municipality Office – Night Bazar – Regina Coeli College – Sacred Heart College – Montfort College Primary School – Chiang Mai Land – Central Plaza Chiang Mai Airport – Chiang Mai International Airport (green and red routes intersection)

 

Blue route, a 13.81 km distance starting from at Chiang Mai Zoo – Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna – Chiang Mai University – Ton Payom Market – Suan Dok hospital – (red and blue routes intersection) – Wattanothai Payap School – Buak Hard public park – Suan Prung hospital – Chiang Mai Gate market – Tha Phae gate – Night Bazar – (green and blue intersection) – San Pa Koi market – Chiang Mai Railway Station – Nong Pratheep intersection – Big C Don Jun – Promenada Resort Mall- Wat Phra Singh – Tha Phae gate – Night Bazar – (blue and green intersection) – San Pa Khoi market – Chiang Mai Railway Station and then switching to the sky train station at Nong Pratheep intersection – Big C Don Jun – Promenada Resort Mall
