Family medicine as in GP & why only every Tues

Did you find any diff as in a local GP

Is Suranaree out near the zoo ?

Coming from the zoo turn right at the lights and then take first left on the 304. The Uni hospital is bout 4 km down that road on your right.

Sure is easier to communicate...which is a good thing.Did not ask where he worked the rest of the week.

I am sure you will find that most doctors / GPs in Thailand speak a good level of English ,even the clinic doctors speak English and have learned the trade in a country where they must read and write english to pass the course to be a GP or doctor ,so you have found nothing new here in Thailand.

I read the Op as about a farang doctor practicing in Korat. So Lefty has found something new here in Thailand.

As far as clinic doctors having English language skills.... many understand some basic English but nowhere near conversational level.

I'd also question your statement about having learned the trade in a foreign country. A minority I'd suggest.

But, I could be wrong. It happens sometimes.

Hi,

Did you make an appointment with him or just turn up at the clinic?  Is he available all day?

Thanks,

Helen

He saw me on a walk in basis.

Respect to every Farang Doctor willing to practise in Thailand. Must pass all medical exams in Thailand. In Thai-Language, of course. Must have the according certificates hanging on the wall, also in Thai-Language. If not......?!?
Cheers.

Now they have to take the board here and no longer use the Western language of Latin, but must know Sanskrit.

The German Doctor I used in Phuket told me it took him three years to study Thai and Sanskrit, and that he is the only doctor who has passed the board since they're switched to Sanskrit.
