Military man shocked to discover his deposit is full of fake banknotes

BAN CHANG: -- A Navy man who went to deposit 300,000 baht in a bank in Ban Chang was shocked to be told that much of it was fake.

 

Officer Withaya had taken the money from a navy safe to put in the bank. It was a fund for the training of navy personnel.

 

But when he got to the Song Khroh bank on Sukhumvit Road he was told that 71,000 baht in 1000 baht bills was fake.

 

Police were called and an investigation is underway.

 

Withaya believes that someone under his command back at base is responsible for slipping the fakes in among the real money.

All military personnel are 100% honest people, everybody knows that.

Must have been those pesky Burmese cleaners.

yea i remember a russian guy was found to have some fake US$. he was locked up, bled dry then charged overstay before being deported.

What!  There is corruption in the Military!  I find that hard to believe.    In the police force, well for

sure, as we have all experience that,  but the military.   My Lord, what kind of world are we living in
