Reupholstering Car seats

Featured Replies

Does anybody have a guesstimate on how much reupholstering car seats would cost. I'm looking to swap soft material for faux leather.

Thanks in advance.

I found these guys http://www.grandseatcover.com/ has anyone got experience getting work done by them? Thai reviews seem ok. It looks like I can get my whole car (3 rows) done for under 15k which seems reasonable.

Cheap as chips for 3 rows. Toyota charge 15th for every piece IE 2 pieces for one seat. For replacement covers in the Fortuner Spivo but could be cheaper for lesser model.

Bloody expensive anyway.

Is that directly from an authorised Toyota dealer then? Also, were they replacing real leather, because that sounds really expensive.

The website I checked had prices starting from 3500 per pair so I extrapolated a bit for 2nd and 3rd row.

Yes from authorised dealer/garage. Supplied by Toyota. Price for leather seats on a Fortuner Sportivo. As stated might be cheaper if not the Sportivo seats. Price included fitting. Still expensive though. You can email Toyota or phone for prices. That's of cause you have a Toyota in the first place. Toyota head office phone No: is 023861000.

Sorry bit late had to look it up, their Email address is [email protected]

Sounds cheap to me cost 30,000 something baht paid for a Honda City @ Honda's and they got someone from outside.

If it's a lot cheaper l'd check leather quality l think Fred would bear me out on that.

Well depends on model but Im going to have a stab & guess it's in the line of an Avanza

Quote sounds ok

I was at Toyota looking at models Avanza & Sienta with the top of range having Faux leather, so I ask the Rep how much to get Faux seats (Avanza ) & it came in around your quote

I don't know first hand on quality.

Reason I know how much they cost was while I was in Toyota a Thai chap had had his drivers seat recovered. They were just finishing the job.

Poked my nose is as you do and he told me the price. Finished job looked like new. At 30thbt should have done. Motto take care of your seats.

I mentioned you because l think it was you that had a drivers leather seat renewed one time it weren't cheap,  so my conclusion is quality,  l remember a thread way back that referred to Bentley motors only used the top quality leather on seat and there was many types of leather used in cars hence the different prices.

No not me story above.

I did mention Bentley, compared they quietness to the new Fortuner or the other way round. Have now realised that Fortuner is even quieter. Mainly due to the fact that you cant hear the clock tick at 100mph in the Fortuner.

Jest for today.

We have used a company called Master M Seatcover ... met the company at the Motor Show. Their work is fine.  GPS is 13.823293 100.473769 and it is almost next to a COCKPIT Shop. Off the side of Nakhon in Road.

I see that they have a Facebook page. My wife has the phone number as 0816489154

I have seen them doing a full interior...

They always seem busy ....
