TAs mention of make sure the shocks dont take over the springs job is relevant.... I had top Gabriel Gas 4 Settings fitted years ago,the hardest setting took over from the rear springs, good fun but wares em out fast.:stoner:

I did post somewhere me  fitting  "fab" HD shocks on the Vigo, did research on it that said they would be a wow...So fitted them, the ride turned into a nightmare, took them off and fitted stock...Back to a ride that l was OK with..

Well 5-6 year old Tuna's l've driven are OK with OEM shocks IMO,  not really same set up as a Vigo.

For  sure, but Toyota have fitted springs to deal with road use and a bit of off road stuff to keep most folk happy..The Vigo and Fortuner have stiff-ish springs from the off to do what the ride was designed for, up rating the springs or shocks will turn the ride into a wannabe saloon racer....The designed comfort ride for a truck or SUV will be gone...

At least they spent enough on the gearbox and engine Oil seals. Unlike Ford who seem to have fitted 5th rate goodies on their lumps. Just wondering if Ford have shares in an Oil company.

That is a little mis-understanding on your part....the rear oil seal was a QC issue on a parts supplier ..now sorted ...

Don't see how I misunderstood. No matter who made them, the question arises who fitted them. Without testing same???

Must be slow on TV today I posted my reply days if not weeks ago.

I see your comments quite often and wonder ... does that guy have piles ...

That 3.2L engine has been around a while. It was a very unfortunate batch of out of spec seals ... of course you may ask why wasn't it spotted before fitting...there again which bit of the seal was out of spec ... still no one is perfect even if they think they are ...

No I don't have piles. My post was in Jest answering JTB tongue in cheek comment referring to Toyo fitments. If you had cared to looked you would have known that.
