You would have thought service could get no worse but the new embassy has reached new heights. I left there wondering what their actual function is. The japanese embassy staff had easy access to the aussie embassy but i was given the full security, starting with the front gate who quiz you to no end to see if you are suitable to enter the sacred grounds. The staff actually ignored me and spoke thai to my wife. This i found very wrong. I thought it was my countries embassy for australians. But to ignore a citizen of the country and speak thai was wrong. Basically do not waste time with the embassy. Better of going to your local bar and ask advice. At least you may get spoken to in english. My bitch has been vented. Thanks

That's not a good start, I found this thread as I needed to ask a question about access to the Consular Section to use the Notary services.

Anyone done it yet?

OP firstly the au embassy is not just for Australians. Secondly they don't really give out much advice. They are there to process different services. As outlined in their website. Forget about bars for advice. Best to use thaivisa. Experts like ubonjoe

Now when i was in Cambodia about 6 ys ago in the capital city of theres as I'm to lazy to look up the spelling since i was bad at spelling when i was at school.....i stumbled across the brand new Aussie embassy while on my walk about one hot day....it was rather flash, they certainly have class and i could see they spared no expense in that building in a third world country, they must have got the land cheap as it was on its own in a paddock....
