Six districts of Ayutthaya province are still affected by flooding as a result of a large quantity of water being discharged by the Chao Phraya Dam in Chai Nat province.

Pornthip Sathitchaithanakul, a villager of Tambon Hua Wiang in Sena district, said the water level in low-lying areas is still high.  The Noy River, a tributary of the Chao Phraya, has overflowed to inundate houses of residents in Moo 9 village in Tambon Hua Wiang.  The water level is nearly 3 metres high in some areas, where people can travel only by boat.

She said Ayutthaya has been flooded for the fourth time this year.  For fear that the water level will continue to rise, people have moved their belongings to higher places.
